Father Fidelis Mukonori S.J. - Executive Director
Father Fidelis Mukonori S.J. was born on 15 July 1947. He attended Chishawasha Mission. He holds a Masters of Theology (MTH) degree from Berkeley, California, USA (1977). He also holds a Diploma in Social Development (Canada), Diploma in Philosophy (Zimbabwe) and an Advanced Certificate in Conflict Resolution (RSA). He has attended several coursed on Social Development, Philosophy and Mediation. Father Mukonori has vast experience in Productive mixed farming, Mass Communication and Election Observation. He has been a member of the Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace since 1974. He worked with Silveira House for 26 years from 1975 as Youth Coordinator, Youth Director, Leadership and Civics Trainer and Internal Auditor. In 1979 he assisted in the Lancaster House Conference from the background. He was a member of the African Development Committee (ADC/CAD), which was linked to and sponsored by the European Community (1980-1990). He was one of the Constitutional Commissioners who drafted Zimbabwe's proposed new Constitution. Father Mukonori served as a Provincial of the Jesuits in Zimbabwe for 11 years. He is currently the Priest for Chishawasha/ Parish and Principal of Chishawasha Primary Boarding School. He is also a delegate for Chishawasha Estate to the Jesuit Provincial.

Judith Kamutepfa - Director of Operations
Judith Kamutepfa is the Director of Operations. Before joining CPIA in January 2005 she worked for the Government for 18 years in the Department of Pension Office in several sections including the Internal Audit Section. She then worked for Faith Ministries and Dawn Ministries for 5 years as an Administrator / Accountant.

She has a ZAAT Final Certificate and has attended several short courses on Computer Appreciation, Internal Auditing, Fraud, Team building, Pastel training and Project Management Training. She is presently studying for a Diploma in Executive Leadership and Management at the Dissertation stage with ALMA and is also part of the Advanced International Training Programme of Peace and Security in Africa (PASA) with Uppsala University.

Ms Kamutepfa has traveled to England, Portugal, Israel, Mozambique, Zambia, Botswana, South Africa and Sweden. She is fluent in English and Shona and can read and write Hebrew.

Yemurai Mutama - Finance Officer
Yemurai Mutama joined Centre for Peace Initiatives in Africa in 2001 as a Finance Assistant and rose to the being the Finance Officer in 2005. She has 12 years experience in the Accounting Department.

She has a Diploma in Financial Management with the Institute of Administration and Commerce (IAC) and also Awarded Diploma in Advanced Management Development for Personal Assistants and Secretaries at Professional Development and Training International (Manzini, Swaziland). She also has Pitman Qualifications (Secretarial Studies). In September 2005 she attended a Training Course in Sage Pastel Partner 2004.

Ms Mutama is well versed with packages including Microsoft Word, Ms Outlook, Ms Excel, PowerPoint and the Internet.

Ezinma Maisera - Administrator/ Programme Officer
Ezinma Maisera joined Centre for Peace Initiatives in Africa in 2007 as an Assistant Administrator of CPIA Research Centre in Vumba. In 2009 Ezinma was elevated to the post of Administrator at CPIA's headquarters in Harare. Combined with her Administration duties, Ms Maisera is also a Programme Officer for Manicaland Province under the National Reconciliation Programme. She has vast experience in Administration, Sales and Marketing.

Before joining CPIA she worked for Africa University as a Personal Assistant from 2002-2003 and moved to Melkuf Trading in Mutare where she worked as a Sales and Marketing Officer from 2004-2006.

Her qualifications include Diploma in Secretarial Studies (HEXCO), Diploma in Marketing (LCCI), Certificate in Monitoring & Evaluation and Diploma in Project Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (UZ) in progress. She has also been awarded with many certificates in Conflict Mgt.

Tatenda Zimvumi - Research Officer
Tatenda Zimvumi was born in Harare. She did her primary and secondary education in Marondera before moving back to Harare for her High school studies.

Tatenda holds an Arts Degree in Peace and Conflict and a minor in Development Studies with Solusi University. She joined CPIA IN 2010 as an intern and full time in 2011 as a Research Officer. Ms Zimvumi is also a Programme Officer for Mashonaland East Province under the National Reconciliation Programme.

She worked at Bon Marche and the Ministry of Education before joining CPIA.


Martin Tenga - Logistics Officer
Mr. Martin Tenga, a qualified Motor Mechanic, joined CPIA in 2000 as a Driver to the Executive Director and was elevated to the post of Logistics Officer in 2004. Before joining CPIA, Martin worked for Hyundai Motor Company as an Auto Electrician from 1996 and moved to Rixi Taxis until 1999.

Martin is proactive person and works in any department without supervision.


Barbra Chasakara - Assistant Librarian (GERDC)
Barbara Chasakara joined CPIA as an Assistant Librarian in 2004. She has nine years experience in the Documentation Department.

She attended Secondary school in Ruwa at St Vincent's Norah High School and then trained in computers and obtained a National Certificate and ICDL. She also holds certificates in CDS / ISIS and Leadership Training.
